映画『オキュパイ・ラブ』四角大輔レビューコメント

The Occupy movement started in New York’s Wall Street on September 17, 2011.

Using “We are the 99%” as its slogan (It denounces the fact that the wealthiest 1% in the United States possesses majority of country’s wealth), the movement protested against inequalities of property and income in the United States, and against economic and political circles that created them.

It attracted and united wide range of people from different ages and races. Around the same time, Egypt saw a citizen’s revolution and Spain experienced popular revolts.

It seemed the whole world was experiencing a paradigm shift led by “public love”.

The documentary “Occupy Love” follows the social transformation the world was experiencing at that time and reveals the limit of distorted current economic system while clearly reporting about the people who stood up with love to change the situation.

Continuous growth and expansion are concepts that are totally out of date. They are not creative.

The world has quantity of nuclear fuel enough to completely destroy the Earth. Our food, the source of life, is mass produced with unnatural methods. Insane economic globalization keeps killing people.

The only way to control unruly dominance of technologies is to deepen our philosophy and creativeness.

What we need to aim at is not “to evolve” but “to deepen”. Why don’t you start living with spirituality?
