映画『うまれる』四角大輔レビューコメント

This is the movie that made my cry the most this year.
“What is to be born?”
“What’s the meaning of being gifted with this life?”
This is a movie that gently but firmly answers these eternal questions.
Let me tell you. I don’t remember last time I cried so much watching a movie.

This movie is shown only at theaters on purpose, with due attentions to the audience, and no.rental DVDs have been released.
It has been screened in many places and talk shows by the director Tomo Goda, who I really respect, are planned at different locations.
I’d really like as many people as possible to see it.
It may sound exaggerated, but I really want all the human beings to watch this movie.
It is because we all share a common experience of being carried in mother’s womb and being born to this world. I’m quite sure any and all the human beings will think, if they watch this movie, that wars and conflicts are meaningless.
I saw the movie “Umareru” a precursor of this movie and cried myself out. That’s the reason I watched this one.
The person who introduced me to the movie “Umareru” was Ms. Nanako Oba who promotes an excellent philosophy of “Life and Birth Studies”. (She has become my life mentor and gives me advice on wide range of issues, and she is a very dear friend.)
Through this connection, I have been assigned as a member of advisory board of the movie.
Music director is another friend of mine, Hima Furuta.
It has very cool music. His voice for the theme song is superb.
