RECOMMEND

Costa Rica has been widely praised for abandoning its own military and for being a leader in world peace issues.
It guides us to a “future”, and I have had my eyes on the country for a long time.
The movie is distributed by Unites People, only film distribution company in Japan which specializes in social documentaries.
「UNITED PEOPLE」
Kenji Sekine, the president of the film distribution company and a friend of mine, stayed in Costa Rica, this country of miracle without military, for about a year.
I still remember very clearly about the day I had a talk session on this movie with this social activist I wholeheartedly respect.
What I learned from this movie and from Mr. Sekine was that there had been painstaking efforts of heroes and citizens to make the country abandon the military.
(and a lot of blood actually ran in some occasions)
I’d really love as many Japanese as possible to watch this movie.

▽Movie “Costa Rica no Kiseki (A BOLD PEACE)”
The Japanese full title is “Costa Rica no Kiseki ~Sekkyokuteki Heiwa Kokkano Tsukurikata~” and it means “Miracle of Costa Rica, How to build a nation of proactive pacifism”.
